An early Monday morning argument culminated in the arrest of a 40-year-old Fond du Lac Man after he discharged a gun into the tire of a car with people inside.
Fond du Lac County authorities were notified through a 911 call from a Township of Empire residence a few miles east of the City of Fond du Lac at around 1 a.m. Monday. An investigation revealed that there had been an argument at that residence, and after two persons had gone to their car parked in the driveway the 40-year-old man went outside and fired a single round from a handgun into a tire of the occupied car. The man left the scene before deputies arrived. It was confirmed that the suspect and the vehicle occupants were known to each other.
The shooter was arrested and is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on multiple charges including recklessly endangering safety, criminal damage to property, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of hallucinogenic substances, and others.
