A 16-year-old from Fredonia has been found guilty on three of the nine charges filed against him in a high-profile assault case.
Spencer Dietrich was found not guilty on the most serious charge of 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault, but a jury did convict him of Child Abuse – Intentionally Causing Harm, a Class H felony that comes with a fine up to $10,000 and up to six years in prison. Dietrich was also found guilty of intimidating the victim through the use or attempted use of force, as well as another charge of being party to the crime of the same, each of which is a Class G felony, punishable up to 10 years in prison, a maximum fine of $25,000, or both.
The Court said that Dietrich and 17-year-old Cole Guttman forced two brothers, now ages 13 and 15, to perform sex acts on each other while video-taping it in the Town of Scott. Guttman had already entered a No Contest plea in Sheboygan County Court last month.
Dietrich is scheduled to appear for a sentencing hearing on June 30th.
